English Snaffle Bit Hanger Slip Strap English Western Headstall Horse Dark Brown Lunging Headstall with Snaps
Leather piece that runs up and around the crown and attaches to the bradoon snaffle bit to create a double bridle. Also known as Weymouth converter, bradoon slip, or bit hanger, it converts a regular English bridle into Weymouth/Double Bridle. These are also good to use when starting young horses wearing a bit(English or Western) as they are easy to slip under a halter without undoing any buckles & are great for lunging. 1/2” wide dark brown leather with white stitching & spring snaps at bit ends. English bridle or headstall crown piece with throatlatch & takes 5/8” cheeks. Crown measures approx 18 1/2" from largest adjustment hole on each side, but crown ends are uneven as horse chewed the left end so we cut end off bad end leaving it shorter than the right side, & made the split at crown longer on left side so more holes were punched. Buckle on throatlatch is nickel or Never Rust. Good used condition with leather still supple. Great replacement for broken bridle parts. Brand unknown, but think is was marked made in England on end we cut off.
