Nylon Halter Bridle Combo Western Headstall Trail Bridle Snap On Cheeks Black Cob/Horse Black 1" nylon English or western trail bridle headstall with brass tone hardware. Consists of halter with rings for cheek pieces with snaps that can be removed so horse can be tied or graze without bit in their mouth & without having to remove your bridle. Buckles are marked on back German Silver, Mexico. Headstall is stamped Circle Y SP29 with other numbers unreadable inside headstall. One ear of this was broken & we had another broken Circle Y headstall with 2 identical ear pieces so we replaced both ears on the original headstall with both ears from the broken headstall. Only difference between the 2 sets were the ends were tooled instead of plain. Silver conchos & beads were identical. Measures approx 43” at largest adjustment & 35" at smallest. Leather feels like butter but has darkened in places from contact with horse. Great vintage show headstall. Western show headstall with doubled & stitched leather with rubbed & darkened edges, sliding double ear with etched silver ferrule beads & interspersed with natural braided rawhide trim on ears & double row of ferrules & rawhide trim on cheeks, engraved silver buckles, keepers, & tips, with engraved silver conchos at bit ends. Buckles are marked on back German Silver, Mexico. Horsehair tassels dangle from each sliding ear piece. Brand unknown, possibly Circle Y, but lots of nice details that make this a quality piece: tiny engraved oval silver conchos on each ear piece, silver tips are stamped Alpaca Mexico, & tiny beads on horsehair tassels. Measures approx 43” at largest adjustment & 33" at smallest with 6 adjustment holes on each side. Great vintage show headstall with leather supple but darkened in places from contact with horse. Vintage Shaped Ear Western Headstall One Ear Western Bridle with Noseband Shaped one ear style western headstall with doubled & stitched heavy duty leather, shaped cheeks, removable adjustable noseband & small D rings for throatlatch, which is missing. All hardware looks to be nickel or brass as there is some corrosion 7/or green marks. Has small leather rosette & concho at bit ends with string ties, string ties are not original as they were no good & were replaced. Stamped on both ends of crown piece are words that look like Nels or Abic, both with a tiny "&" after them & the number 74. We could find no reference to this as a brand name, but this is very old. We didn't think it would clean up, but leather is still supple with only surface cracking on underside. Nice heavy duty headstall that is still usable or add a vintage bit & use for decoration. elling in AS IS condition.
