Vintage The Mortens Studio Royal Design Prancing Horse Figurine Morten Cream Grey Ceramic China Horse
The Mortens Studio
Founded in the 1940s by Oscars Mortens, who came to the United States from Sweden. He produced a number of animal figures of all kinds made out of a plaster like material over a metal frame and are heavier in weight because of the materials used. Most are marked with either an ink stamp or a paper label, also marked Royal Design. The finish is enamel like & is prone to cracks & chips. Figures in mint condition are hard to find. The Mortens Studio was located and founded in Chicago existing from approximately 1930 to the mid 1950s. This horse figurine measures 6 3/4" tall x almost 9" long & has an oval sticker on side stating Royal Design by Mortens Studio & a small round sticker on belly stating Copyright by the Mortens Studio. Horse is a cream or yellowed grey with dark eyes, nostrils, lip line, & hoof edges. This has no breaks or chips but does have 2 hairline cracks on right front leg that do not encircle the whole leg & 1 on right hind leg that does encircle the leg. Hard to find in this good condition with stickers.

Vintage Hagen Renaker #3289 Cardinal On Branch HR Mini China Song Bird Figurine
Hagen Renaker, CA
Vintage mini china Cardinal bird figurine in red with black face with very faint eye whites, orange beak & sitting on a brown branch. Manufactured Fall 1998 & is currently still in production, this piece was purchased new from HR in 1998, Approx 1 3/4” high, glossy finish. Designed by Maureen Love it is in the Miniatures line of HR models. Considered model #A-3289. Comes with original HR UPC code sticker on bottom of card. No breaks or flaws that we can see, was on display in our glass case so has remnants of our price sticker on bottom of card & 1 corner of card is clipped.

Vintage mini china Cairn Terrier dog figurine in tan with light brown shading, pink tongue, dark ears, black eyes & nose. Glossy finish. This is in the Miniatures line. Sculpted by Robert McGuinness, approx 1 1/4” tall. Considered model #A-3290, it is in a standing position. Believe this was released Spring 1999 & is currently still in production, but this piece came new from HR in 1999. Great vintage piece. Has removable paper card with Hagen-Renaker Inc, made in San Dimas, CA USA. 1 corner of card clipped & original UPC sticker on bottom of card with remnants of our price sticker on bottom but otherwise no flaws or breaks that we can see, only on display in our glass showcase, was not released with a box.

Vintage mini china Boxer dog figurine. Light brown with indistinct creamy white chest, dark shaded muzzle & ears, black eyes. Glossy finish. This is in the Miniatures line. Sculpted by Maureen Love, approx 2 1/2” tall. Has removable paper card with Hagen-Renaker Inc, made in San Dimas, CA USA. Considered model #A-3300. Has 1 corner of card clipped & original UPC sticker on bottom with remnants of price sticker as it was in our glass display case. New, no flaws or breaks that we can see. Believe this was released Fall 1999 to 2006, but this particular piece was bought new from HR in 1999. Great vintage piece. New, only on display in our glass showcase, was not released with a box.

Hand painted resin red bay horse or pony rearing on grassy base. Small sticker on bottom of base says "Made in China". Measures approx 5” tall x 2 3/4” long. Brand unknown. New but a few minor scuffs.

Lefton Norcrest Napco Enesco Japan
Beautiful china standing horse figurine in shaded dappled grey with black/brown eyes hit with a touch of gloss, finished in a soft satin matte. Approx 7" tall x 9" long, similar in size & shape as Breyer's Traditional Proud Arabian Mare. Right eartip is missing but painted over at factory(see photo), left eartip rub, a few hoof rubs, 2 factory painted over small globs on right side & 2 small dark marks on face, & a small rub on left side of tail. Very indistinct male parts underneath & is stamped Japan on belly, but maker or age unknown. Great vintage piece & hard to find.

Vintage Hagen-Renaker #347 Dachshund Standing Facing Weiner Dog Left HR Mini China Dog Figurine

Vintage mini china Dachshund dog figurine in reddish brown with black eyes & nose. Manufactured Spring 1957 & is currently still in production, approx 1 1/4” high, glossy finish. Designed by Helen Perrin Farnlund, it is in the Miniatures line of HR models. Considered model #A-347, Dachshund Standing Facing Left. Owner says bought from an antique store in 2002 so this is at least over 10 years old. Minor glue remnants from removal from paper card, but otherwise excellent condition with no chips or crazing that we can see. Was no issued with a box.

Vintage Hagen-Renaker #075 #856 Scottish Terrier Black Scotty Dog HR Mini China Dog Figurine

Vintage mini china Scottish Terrier dog figurine in black with red collar, pale pink tongue & eye whites. Manufactured Fall 1966 to Spring 1968 as #A-075 & again Spring 1985 to present as #856, approx 1” high, glossy finish. Designed by Don Winton it is in the Miniatures line of HR models. Considered model #A-075, this is 1 of 2 different colors it was issued in, but don’t know exact year made although it was produced prior to 2002 as stated by owner. Excellent condition except for glue on feet from paper card removal.
