Dover? German Style Side Reins Leather with Rubber Donut Side Reins

3/4” wide scored leather side reins with thick rubber donut inserted to allow some give. Snaps on 1 end & buckle adjustable loop on other end. Add snaps to this end too for easy on/off. A great lunging aid for creating flexion & promotes bending, teaching the horse to give to rein pressure. Has 7 factory punched holes. Measures 39" as adjusted now with 2 factory punched holes to make smaller & 4 holes to make larger. Not stamped as to maker, so brand unknown but believe it came from Dover Saddlery. Leather was a little dry so we conditioned these, some surface cracking, mainly around holes, but conditioned up nicely.

Easy Adjust Nylon Side Reins Adjustable Elastic Side Reins with Dees Black
Essential tool for lunging & training, this pair of elastic end side reins is perfect for lunging your horse, & will attach from the bit to the saddle or surcingle. The side reins are made of 1" nylon webbing with 7 dee rings sewn in approximately every 2" & measures 5' long total length with doubled elastic insert at 1 end with spring snaps & swivel bolt snaps at the other end. Spring snap elastic end attaches to bit while nylon end ends loops through girth or surcingle & back to dee's for quick on/off, as well as easy adjustment. A great lunging aid for creating flexion & promotes bending, teaching the horse to give to rein pressure. Sold as a pair. Brand unknown but looks like Intrepid's brand. Clean & in hardly used condition.

Leather still flexible although chew marks on end by snap, snap works well, elastic in good shape although a bit stretched, still very useable. Brand unknown, but leather is good quality. 3/4” leather side rein with doubled elastic insert & snap at end. This is a single rein. Use as a replacement for broken or missing rein. Rein looks like it was never used, leather looks pristine, no holes used(we adjusted it to 2nd hole so name could be seen better), elastic has a rust spot or stain, & there is a stamped name Delia inside an oval stamped on inside of rein. As a set they sell new for over $100, so here is a great way to get a replacement rein for a fraction of new. Measures 42" as adjusted now with 1 hole to make longer & 10 holes to make smaller.

1” cotton web reins with 3 or 4 sets of loops. These reins have scissor or trigger snap ends with buckle adjustments to make shorter or longer. Used by therapeutic riders for easy grip & extension or collection of reins. Almost 10' long at longest adjustment. Heavy duty construction, like new condition except 1 set of reins has 1st set of hand holds cut out.

Leather Elastic Side Reins Training Reins
Leather side reins with double elastic inserts & 3/4” wide leather with scored & darkened edges, roller buckle adjustment. This has 17 hole adjustments & 1 rein is about 2" shorter than the other as we had our Amish repair man repair a tear by 1 of the buckles(see inset). Brand unknown, elastic is like new, but quality leather although it is very supple, has a few surface cracks by a few holes. Snaps work well but have minor corrosion. Overall, these reins look like they sat more than they were used.

Cotton Web Quick Change Training Reins Rebalancing Sliding Elastic Side Reins Navy Blue
These side reins have elastic at one end for greater give, brass snaps at both ends & D rings along 1' of reins. Run reins through bit & snap end to rings for a wide range of sizes. Other end snaps back to saddle or girth. A great lunging aid for creating flexion & promotes bending, teaching the horse to give to rein pressure. Brand unknown, similar to Top Tack(no longer in business), they are made out of 1" cotton web & doubled elastic on 1 end. Good used condition but has a 1" long cut or fray in cotton web(see photo).
